Uke Tunes

Uke-ifying my favourite songs

About

A few months ago a couple of friends dragged my wife and I to a Southampton Ukulele Jam “ukulele cabaret” evening. I really didn’t know what to expect. But I was so taken with what I saw that I thought “I can do that. I want to be a part of that”. So following a bit of research over the next few days I went out and ordered myself a ukulele, and have been enjoying it ever since.

After a while I started hunting out songs I like that I might be able to play. But whilst I found that there were huge swathes of material out there, somehow half the songs I wanted to find I couldn’t. And so I started creating my own chord/lyric sheets for those songs, derived from whatever sources I could find. The purpose of these rather humble pages then is to make those songs available to others. On the assumption that I might not be the only person who likes these songs and wants to give them a bash on the ukulele.

I don’t make any huge claims as to the correctness of the song sheets, and would be only to happy to have feedback and updates if you find anything amiss. These songs are published in a spirit of openness and sharing. I hope you find some use for them and enjoy them.

    • Happy for you to do that, Jim, with the appropriate attribution (and a link back to the site would be great). If you put it online let me know when you’ve done so and I’ll add a link to it.
